Railroads
You'll find some of the best railroad pictures available as you drive up Hwy 70. You'll see a railroad "Y" and some bridges and tunnels that will make you want to get out of the car and just watch for a while. Keep going up to Portola, and visit the Portola Railroad Museum. You'll get to walk through lots of different trains, both engines and cars. You can even drive a train yourself!
